BEIRUT

{Bek bek and me}

So, in Salt Lake City, every summer we have the Twilight Concert Series where well-known bands come and and play for free. In the past years, the concert has been held at Gallivan Plaza, but this year, because of how popular it has become, the Twilight series is now held at Pioneer Park ( this place is basically known for being one of the sketchiest parks in SLC because of all the homeless people who camp out there).
I was so excited because the second week that i was back in amurrica, Modest Mouse was kicking the series off. I was sooo stoked because the last concert that i went to in the states was Modest Mouse. Unfortunately, it was one of the biggest concerts that Twilight has ever seen: 40,000 people came, not just from utah, but from colorado, arizona, etc. it was absolutely ridiculous!!! i was so angry and i promised myself that i wasn't going to go anymore.
well, i broke that promise. my friend Bekah and i went to see Twin Sister and, one of my favorite bands, Beirut. I started listening to Beirut my senior year of high school. I remember dancing around my room to songs like Nantes and Postcards from Italy. --sigh--
let me just say that it was one of the best concerts that i've been to. i say that a lot, but it's true. mind you, there were a lot of rude people that don't understand the greatness of Beirut. i kind of wanted to kick peoples' shins just to get them to shut up, but i am a lady, so i didn't. overall, i will always have fond memories of beirut and can now check them off of my bucket list. CHECK!

eight-oh-one

So, i've been back in the united states for about four weeks now. it's been good. i i spent the 4th of july with friends and family, saw a lot of good bands (more on that to come). i've met up with a lot of friends and now have moved into my new apartment. it's been good fun. AND SUMMER IS HERE!!!! i've slowly been getting tan. it would be much more easy if i had a pool of some sort....maybe i'll buy a kiddie ( or as i like to say kitty) pool and put it on my front lawn? sounds like a good idea. we'll see....

bitter sweet

well, i'm just taking a break from packing up everything. i leave the swissland on monday morning. it's so weird to think that i came here in september. it's just gone by so so fast and i really don't know how to handle it.
at the same time, i'm super stoked to go "home" --it just sounds weird: Neucatel is my home now-- and to see my friends and family. my favorite holiday is coming up: 4th of July. HAZZAH.
anyways, i'm just rambling...i just wanted to write something.
here's a picture of Lady GaGa in a trash can in New York City.

Postsecret

So, i've become obsessed with this website. People from all over send anonymous postcards in which they have written their secrets/confessions. It's absolutely fabulous.

***Polish Hotdogs***

So back in January, my dad came over to Europe to spend Christmas and New year's with me. We spent Christmas in Prague with one of my good friends. It was fabulous. For New Year's, we went up to Poland to visit some other friends. One night, we went out on an adventure to find the best polish hotdog. If you know anything about me or my family, we LOVE greasy and unhealthy food. So, basically, hotdogs are clearly a part of our daily lives---it's like breathing to us. So, we went walking through centre-ville of Warsaw, looking for the best hot dog. Enjoy.

{we ended up in a train station that had a hot dog stand. OMG}

Sorry for the random story. I'm just really nostalgic for a curry polish hot dog. I know exactly what I'm going to do when I go back to Salt Lake City--EAT.
