Easter Sunday

I'm gonna tell you a little bit about my easter traditions with my family. This yea, we celebrated it at my Grandma's house. we searched for our eggs and we trade it in for either a dollar or a crochet-hanger. this year the dog max ATE my egg and so they had to make an new one for me...stupid dog... anyways, then we ate a shiiii ton of food then we play another easter game. this one is called: pick out a plastic egg with a dare on it and get money. it goes from youngest to oldest and it's hilarious. one year my aunt had to jump rope 25 times for 5 dollars. she unknowingly peed her pants. priceless. then we eat some more and then we go up to utah state campus where we roll our eggs down a hill. i don't know why we do this, but i've been doing it since i was like, in the womb, so i never question it. this year we did all of those things, but, this easter sunday, i did the cinnamon challenge like an idiot. for those who don't know what the challenge is: you swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon. i threw up in front of my whole family. some were mesmerized other where horrified others were peeing their pants laughing so hard one even threw up. it is not recommended unless you want to lose a few extra pounds for summer. that's a lie. just don't do it.

here are some pics from the glorious day:

We had a huge dinner the night before thanksgiving. it was so much fun and i really missed my sisters. overall, it was a really good weekend of thanks and giving: a lot of my friends came back from their uni's, i got to see a lot of my relatives and ate a lot of food. perfect set up, yeah? i thought so...

bitter sweet

well, i'm just taking a break from packing up everything. i leave the swissland on monday morning. it's so weird to think that i came here in september. it's just gone by so so fast and i really don't know how to handle it.
at the same time, i'm super stoked to go "home" --it just sounds weird: Neucatel is my home now-- and to see my friends and family. my favorite holiday is coming up: 4th of July. HAZZAH.
anyways, i'm just rambling...i just wanted to write something.
here's a picture of Lady GaGa in a trash can in New York City.

***Polish Hotdogs***

So back in January, my dad came over to Europe to spend Christmas and New year's with me. We spent Christmas in Prague with one of my good friends. It was fabulous. For New Year's, we went up to Poland to visit some other friends. One night, we went out on an adventure to find the best polish hotdog. If you know anything about me or my family, we LOVE greasy and unhealthy food. So, basically, hotdogs are clearly a part of our daily lives---it's like breathing to us. So, we went walking through centre-ville of Warsaw, looking for the best hot dog. Enjoy.

{my dad on the streets of Warsaw}

{we ended up in a train station that had a hot dog stand. OMG}

{mmmmm, condiments}

{beautiful}

{happy pappi}

Sorry for the random story. I'm just really nostalgic for a curry polish hot dog. I know exactly what I'm going to do when I go back to Salt Lake City--EAT.

The Impossible

first off, Happy Mother's Day. may all those sexy mommas out there feel special for bringing something amazing into this world. i hope that one day i'll be mature enough to be a mom. secondly, do you ever feel like you don't want to be yourself anymore? i mean, i really like being me, but sometimes i wish that i could get out of my head. just for a half an hour or so. is that too much to ask? is it too impossible? do i ask too many questions? yes? ok.
i hope that you're having a fabulous weekend.

My Small but Beautiful Mother

It's my mom's birthday today. She's turning 42. Not really though, we just say that every year. Ha! I wish I was in Utah for just a few hours so I could give her a big hug and take her out to dinner or something. Unfortunately, I am a few thousand miles away, so I thought a posting on my blog would do.
I think since I've gotten older I see how imperfect my parents are, and at first it's heartbreaking because they've taught me everything I know, but then I realized even though they aren't perfect, they still did one hell of a job. And that's why I love my mom. She's funny/quirky and she has this ability to show unconditional love to everyone. I've learned so much from her triumphs and from her mistakes. She's made me the person I am today. I love you mommasita and I hope that you read this soon!

Gobble gobble

Thanksgiving is here! I'm not gonna lie, I've never really been a big fan of Thanksgiving, but, being in a country where no one knows what it is, makes me nostalgic. Here is my ode to the turkey holiday--I am thankful for:

1. My family.
They support me through everything. I love them so much even though they can be a pain sometimes. I wouldn't trade them for a hundred pair of Malono Blahnik shoes.

2. My friends.
It's really refreshing to have people who not only laugh at me, but laugh with me.

3. Toilet paper.

Enough said.

4. Bjork.

Whenever I think that I am insane, or someone is staring at me and my weird outfit(s), I look at Bjork and think, wow, my life is pretty normal.

All in all, I am thankful for a lot of things, but these are def. the top four on my list right now... Happy Thanksgiving, I hope that it is wonderful and bright with cheesiness and fuzzy animals.
